1/5 I've been asked to comment on my experience of attempting to create a new programming language #EK9 So here goes.
First off it's not because I dislike other languages, I love them for what they offer.
But wanted a sort of hybrid of several languages.
@YvetteCooperMP If the current standard of policing is anything to go by, that probably a good thing. There is clear bias and a clear lack of resolve to do the right thing.
@RickHunter7 Ah back to the sort of topics that really matter. You’ve not factored in the ‘desperation factor’, nor the proximity to other ‘people’ (dare not say men anymore).
Also the number of urinals available? So for me it varies significantly. Oh and space between urinals.
@wtravishubbard Stress, some people find it more/too stressful. Or maybe they like working with their colleagues. I’ve done a mix of both and contracting. Latter seems to suit me more TBH. Though I am working on https://t.co/4LHsXMuV1a which should keep me going for 10-20 years.
@RachelReevesMP All agreed, deep insight (pretty obvious when I look at my pay slip). Now the interesting part - what’s your plan - and do you actually intend to deliver it - then can you actually deliver it?
@Keir_Starmer You just blow with the wind, this way and that. You have no real convictions to do anything - much like the current lot we have. We all ‘see’ you all as one disconnected political/media class.
@guyverhofstadt And have your digital Euro so you can all line your pockets with confiscated cash - I think not. We’ll eventually find some politicians in the UK that actually do what they are ‘elected’ to do. Cameron is not elected - in 6 months he won’t be in post. He will still be a lord! WTF
@GoodwinMJ I’m not sure it does work for the new elite in the longer term either. It breaks down society and the rule of law. It closes businesses and in the end destroys not just lives but tax/profit. The last two they do care about. The tax/profit but - not the lives.
@MarkKeenan5@DaleVince Hmm, the point is the decision making - bad very bad. Not sure any other parties would be better. But this lot - I mean bring Cameron back. Tinkering with NI, massive immigration. WTF
@drgurner@Lauramaywendel Agree, most people in organisations only see linear time, linear hours. Design for me is non-linear. Tinker, probe, read, walk, swim - drink coffe, sleep. Then after a day it sort of just comes together. Then it becomes more linear in terms of development.
