@channelstv Petrol pump price will never go down due to the forces of demand and supply because the marketers can easily form a cartel (as the case with OPEC) to stabalize price of petrol (preventing it from going down) thereby maximising profit.

This petroleum pump price increase in Nigeria with its consequences on the citizens is bad. N151.56p/lt is bad enough, but the worse is not yet. The market forces can never push it price down even in deregulation. The marketers can form a cartel to maximize profit in the long run
