Is this for real. Magistrates to get increased powers to double the maximum prison sentence 25/4/2022. And the will get just half a day online training. What do you think @legalhackette @JoshuaRozenberg ?
@JoshuaRozenberg CPS won’t send papers via email in common platform areas; shortcomings result in courts having to use work arounds; magistrates legal advisers leaving; court delays due to the length of time legal adviser take to write cases up; no court diary function 2/2
@JoshuaRozenberg It must be time for a big article about the criminal justice system IT disaster - Common Platform. Just a few stories: National rollout suspended; police forces refusing to use it; onboarding technical glitch means no new users can be added 1/2
@nsandihelp My wife has found 2 grey investment account passbooks. How can she find out if the accounts are still open and if there are any funds in them?
@justie4justice @kbennettlaw @teresamatich@JessBirken@jack_newton@goclio I would love to find out about your legal DIY platform. I think it would be a great service to run in parallel with my regular work. I very often sort low-level problems in 10 mins on the phone with a DIY solution. It would be great to have a service to fill that service gap.
@teresamatich Loving #cliocloud9 and @jack_newton talk on client centred law. Saw your @goclio blog post about subscription based law. Do you know any criminal lawyers who have made subscriptions work?
@justie4justice @kbennettlaw @teresamatich@JessBirken@jack_newton@goclio That sounds interesting. I guess the trick is to make users realise that they can’t blame you if it goes wrong?
@kbennettlaw @JessBirken@teresamatich@jack_newton@goclio I agree that pricing isn’t everything. I just can’t figure how I would give extra value to subscribers that regular fee paying clients for litigation are not getting already.
