This is clearly based on attendance, label push, visibility, and whatever else goes on behind the scenes because it’s clearly not just about charts, numbers, impact or actual achievements.

But as the fandom grew, some people stopped appreciating that trust. They twisted his words, dragged him over every little thing, turned innocent moments into scandals, and created fantasies that had nothing to do with reality.

And now some of the same people are crying, "Joon has changed so much"

Yes. He changed.

But before asking, What happened to Namjoon, maybe ask yourselves:

What happened to the environment and fandom that made him feel safe enough to share himself with us in the first place?

RM is also a famous Art collector, known for his notable art pieces including Roni Horn's glass sculpture, KAWS figurines and Takeshi Murakami's "Flower Ball (3-D), Kindergarten (2007)". In 2020, RM added to his collection "Disappearing Hometown 730", a luminescent landscape by South Korean artist Joung Young Ju. In June 2025, after his enlistment in the Army, RM was named Global Ambassador for Samsung Art TV, championing the global art scene. RM held a special talk hosted by Samsung Electronics at Art Basel along with Clément Delépine, Director of Art Basel Paris, featuring the artist Basim Magdy! From October 3, 2026 to February 7, 2027, RM will co-curate RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the first museum exhibition drawn from his personal art collection!

RM’s main fashion endorsement is Bottega Veneta! RM is a very active philanthropist and donated ₩100 million (US$85,810.58) on his 25th birthday to the Seoul Samsun School to help hearing-impaired students receive music education. In December 2020, the Arts Council of Korea named him one of its ten 2020 Patrons of the Arts in recognition of his ₩100 million donation to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art for the printing and distribution of various rare art books to schools and libraries in rural and mountainous regions.
