The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital retracts their statement regarding the increased cost of dialysis.
They’re now stating that the price which was circulating on social media is a proposed one and has not yet gotten approval from Parliament.
They emphasize that the proposed price would be sent to the Health Ministry, after which it would be forwarded to Parliament for approval before it can be implemented.

1. December 2019, I had to walk from the A&E to the ATMs at the main gate, at 4am, to withdraw money to come and buy tranexamic acid, a very basic emergency drug. I had to buy TRANEXAMIC ACID to stop someone from bleeding out, because the emergency unit of a Teaching Hospital
I've always known this but it's just really hit me that health workers do not have access to free healthcare even in the facilities that they work.
Even the providers of the services can barely afford them. Literally 1 emergency away from going caput.

Ghana has lost yet another historic & cultural landmark due to neglect. The ancient mud mosque at Bole has collapsed. Torrential rains are being blamed but 5 years ago I visited it & wrote an article documenting visible termite infestation in its rafters. https://t.co/nscCHoBEOS
Ghana is so broken that your friend can develop a means to control traffic lights with phones so police don’t have to stand in the hot sun, offer it to the government for FREE, and be asked to pay a bribe to move it up the ladder.
Make it make fokn sense.

The Police Officer who told the whole nation that they knew where the girls were and that they were safe (an obvious lie) was PROMOTED to become EOCO boss.
Doctors are telling you they are tired of the heart break when their patients cannot afford basic healthcare. They are telling you hospitals lack equipment and children die from preventable diseases if only our govt decided to stop stealing from us.

Day 4.
I’m protesting because babies have to use phototherapy devices in turns.
Some hospitals even have to put two babies in one device
Where is the positive energy?

What I really really don’t understand is the demolish of a hospital with the promise of building a better one, only to Jie your eye for years when you could’ve just done renovations and let them manage like they are already doing. K3 kokloo e Tsw
