My youngest is a magnet for ticks so helping him understand what to look for is really important. As for the oldest, never had a tick, but he did lend his beautiful voice to this amazing animation 🥰. Such an amazing example of engagement done right
We are delighted to launch our new tick awareness animation aimed at younger children (aged 5-11)
The animation aims to enable younger children to be their own advocates and stay safe whilst enjoying the outdoors!

@RingGo_parking contacting you is a nightmare! Can you explain to me why my parking permit (which I have had for 4 years) was turned down due to ‘name differences’ when I included my marriage certificate?!? Please advise how I can rectify this *today* as parking is astronomical

In this paper we demonstrate that negative sense RNA virus Bunyamwera has a negative impact on Wolbachia density in Ae. aegypti mosquitoes. Thanks to everyone involved, especially @stephmrainey!
This is the end of the world as we know it, if this is reproducible! The new era of functional modeling has begun. I took a transcription factor with an unknown structure and folded it with its recognition sequence embedded in longer DNA. AlphaFold3 accurately positioned the transcription factor.
Only last month we celebrated inauguration of Dr @GhassanAbuSitt1 as @UofGlasgow Rector. Now he's being prevented from entering other European countries to speak on situation in Palestine. @David_Cameron you must speak out on our citizens & #TeamUofG being treated this way.
Mosquitoes are coming… Good write up in Guardian today on new analysis that suggests >4 billion to be at risk of mosquito borne infections in coming decades. https://t.co/O95E7JfEPl
Really excited to share my first first-author virology paper and it’s a big one! Check out our preprint https://t.co/0C8rErRSAf where we present a key evolutionary process that allows the transmission of vector-borne bunyaviruses between arthropod and vertebrate hosts.
