SAYA SAKAKIBARA WINS GOLD FOR AUSTRALIA 🥹🚴♀️💚💛
One of the most heartwarming stories at the Paris Games has come true, with Saya Sakakibara dominating the women's BMX race to win gold.
Sakakibara did it wearing her brother, Kai's, number 77, who suffered a traumatic brain injury while preparing for the Tokyo Games in the same event leaving him in a coma.
Saya led from start to finish in the race to claim gold, redemption for her after a horror crash in Tokyo that saw her stretchered off the course.
And to make things even better, Saya's French Boyfriend Romain Mahieu winning bronze in the men's equivalent event.
We're not crying, WE SWEAR, congratulations to Kaya and the Sakakibara family!
I'm raising money for a cause close to my heart and would love your support, we needed to use RCH this year for our little boy Patrick, if you can spare a few dollars its definitely worth it and much appreciated ☺️ https://t.co/XFLiiUsdVG
Melbourne, what do I even say to you after over 288,000 of you came and danced with us in the last 3 nights ??! That was unforgettable. You were on an another LEVEL. Thank you for the memories. I’ll revisit the ones from this weekend often 🥲🫶

@thislovesours Thanks, still bummed I can't go but I'll see her next time! Getting tickets was so shitty! Hope you have an amazing time tonight, sing loud for me! 🫶🏽
@EllenFearless13 So crazy! It's never been this hard to get tickets! Amazing I'm so glad you got tickets and for multiple days too! I wish we had that system but it was chaotic 😔
@EllenFearless13 Thanks! I would've been totally fine to go, but could not even get past the ticket lounge page to get in to see tickets - so sad I'm missing out 😔 Hope you're going well too 💕
