For the last 14 years as an NHS doctor, I have watched this party, these governments, savage the NHS into a crumbling shell of a once great institution. Deliberate, calculated, shameless destruction.
Only one thing to say. Please, if you still want an NHS, do not vote Tory.
I was a doctor.
I lived and breathed medicine.
Then burnout & mental illness happened.
Upset & angry, I left medicine.
If you care about the #NHS,
And you plan to vote in the #GeneralElection
You NEED to know these 3 things.. 🧵
@Leicester_News@CityMayorLeic@OweniteAdam@JonAshworth It is a real shame we are having to cancel Aylestone junior parkrun whenever we get heavy rain as the council have not maintained the drains in the park. Please can this be fixed for our young runners!
Over 3000 signatories in less than 6 hours.
This is a service that's saved multiple NHS doctors from suicide.
Why aren't you listening, @AmandaPritchard, @VictoriaAtkins, @NHSEngland?
Why don't you care?
Do you really think so little now of those pandemic "heroes"???
I’m an oncologist and I love my job. But I’m striking because I know first-hand that the NHS is failing our patients with cancer and I’m striking because I know first-hand that the NHS is failing its workforce. https://t.co/Liv26cn8Or #ConsultantsStrike
I love my job as a GP but I get tired. Tired of being publicly ‘owned’ and tired of being a human punch bag for not meeting patients expectations. I’m a mum, a wife, a sister, I’m me. I have a right to put effort and time into these things too. #TeamGP 🤗
A snapshot of UK doctor numbers in a single department, in a single hospital, in Australia.
As of today our ED has :
26 UK trained Resident Medical Officers
23 UK trained Registrars
10 UK trained Consultants
Pay your staff what they're worth @SteveBarclay or lose them
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: No wonder jnr doctors & nurses don’t feel valued. Not everyone is “feeling poor”equally @bankofengland . What gvmnt has done to their pay 👇 is an absolute disgrace
RT if u think @SteveBarclay@Jeremy_Hunt@RishiSunak should #PayRestoration & save our NHS
Hi, NHS psychiatrist here. The patients I provide care to at 2am in Emergency Departments often report that exorbitant energy bills contributed to the development of a mental health crisis. It’s an absolute disgrace & the Government should be deeply ashamed of themselves.
To any #JuniorDoctors feeling wobbly tonight about tomorrow - you are doing the right thing. Pay restoration needs to happen to safeguard the profession & the future of the #NHS. General practice is with you #BMA#PayRestorationNow
Share the love of GPs today
Today like every day in #NHS
They will consult with 30-40 people each
Some complex🤔
Some simple🤒
Some heartbreaking😢
The few GPs we have are doing their best to provide care to the communities of the UK
Thank you #TeamGP#GPCrisis
33 years in the NHS I can honestly say it’s never been this bad
We need a national campaign of awareness
We need people to know what they can expect
It is all areas of Health and Social Care
@SteveBarclay@Jeremy_Hunt@RishiSunak@NHSEnglandMedia@DHSCgovuk
Just remember it is all the Nurses,Doctors,Ambulance service, train drivers, postal staff, driving examiners, highway workers, border force, bus drivers, teachers+university staffs fault re industrial action, obviously its not the Conservative party’s fault, it’s never them 🤷♂️
Volunteers are not going to save the NHS.
Privatisation is not going to save the NHS.
Being ‘tough on unions’ is not going to save the NHS.
The NHS is a network of 1.5 million hardworking staff. This government AND their opposition do not value them. RT if you agree 💙
There is no such thing as a sick note for children.
Please do NOT contact your GP for one of these.
If your child's school has asked for one, then the school should put the request in writing to the practice with your written consent or it is NOT a genuine request.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is 18:30 on Friday evening , thank you to all those who have fulfilled their contractual obligations .

RIP Dr. Gail Milligan 🙏
@noodles_nood That take home pay looks similar to what mine was 2 years post qualification. Except I qualified in 2000. And had a fraction of that student debt as we didn't have to pay tuition fees then. How can pay for doctors have barely increased in 2 decades?
I am appalled on your behalf.
