New Statutory Sick Pay rules are being introduced from April 2026:

🔹 SSP payable from day one
🔹 More employees eligible — the lower earnings threshold is being removed
🔹 New rate — 80% of average earnings or £123.25 per week (whichever is lower)

A. There’s a 12-month soft landing period for MTD. You won't be fined if you've missed the deadline but penalties will apply from April 2027
