The @Conservatives are set to crash the economy.
Manufacturing suffered its worst quarter since the financial crisis. The £ has also plummeted with @BorisJohnson's #nodeal plans.
He's not unleashing Britain's potential, he's unleashing damage, destruction, and chaos.
As a new MP, if you complete the salary payment form by 5pm on Monday 16th Dec, you get paid just two weeks later on 31st Dec, despite the Christmas holiday period. That’s three weeks faster than someone’s first payment on Universal Credit. #Justsaying
@cnapan I want STV, a PR system, where every vote will matter and people can vote for the best candidate based on their values and no vote would be wasted! We need a #progressivealliance to work together now to bring real change!
@cnapan We need a better system of elections. FPTP allows a party to get more than half seats with less than half vote share and encourages tactical voting. It makes people talk in terms of wasted votes and votes for the least worst candidate.
Many congratulations to @jessphillips for winning re-election in Yardley. A huge thank you to everyone who supported my campaign and I look forward to continuing to serve Acocks Green on Birmingham City Council.
@Olly4Northfield Another christian here sad at the conservatives who give lip service to Christianity then support policies which are in conflict with The message. Love your neighbour, look after those less off than yourself etc are ignored. 😥
Political cowardice, opportunism and conformity have been rewarded while bravery was dismissed. This has long-term implications for our already discredited politics. My piece for @Independent https://t.co/qPn1Av2Fpw
@ScottieKarl@spaceangel1964 I think its why older generations aren't so bothered by the culturally offensive language of Boris whilst younger generations reject it and were much more likely to vote elsewhere. Im in the middle so I see both sides I suppose. 🤷♀️
@ScottieKarl@spaceangel1964 No I think the youth of today have an identity that's much more open, tolerent and inclusive but i think the older generation either don't recognise it or notice it and reject it. It's just very alien and different to the older generations mindset.
Right. That's it then. That's the end of the union.
It worked quote well for three centuries.
Then we gave Cameron a majority.
Then Johnson.
And that's it.
Three hundred years down the drain. No more UK.
Well done Brexit.
Well done Tories.
Well done Labour.
Fucking idiots.
@SmileDarling2 @uk_domain_names@paulmasonnews Jeremy's fence sitting and @UKLabour choosing to attack the @LibDems more than the conservatives has backfired. Fighting the @TheGreenParty Has backfired. Who wants to vote someone who calls them offensive names or tries to unseat their only seat 🤷♀️ you have yourself to blame 🤦♀️
And now I'm crying. Laugh all you like. I'm not too proud to admit it.
If you grasped the magnitude of what has happened, I *guarantee* you'd be crying too.
Eventually, the penny will drop across the country. But by then, of course, it will be too late.
@GillyHx3 It's hard right now and I know a lot of candidates are devastated. We need to fight for a better system.
The figures are now:
Libdems 3m votes 11 seats (272,727 votes per seat)
Cons 13m votes 359 seats (36, 211 votes per seat)
Greens 854k votes 1 seat
(854k per seat)
