@alisonleary1 We have this workforce along with our fabulous HCAs monitor them. Have an expectation that they will deliver the high standard of care they are trained to do and put them on the professional register where they are accountable and responsible.

@alisonleary1 I am all for everyone having the right training and safe practice and absolutely feel frustrated that the NMC hasn’t moved with the times, anyone who delivers patient care should be on the register and adhere to MMC scope of professional practice.

@alisonleary1 I trained as an Enrolled Nurse in 1982 & we have definitely recreated this role but without the NMC registration which we had. This training could lead to pressure on NA to undertake these duties, especially if they given time off & funding to attend by their employers
