@Notwokenow I have the same policy as you. The only thing that I will add to it is that if the food arrives late then I check temperature. If it's hot, it's usually the cook's fault, not the writer's. But, if it's cold, it's usually the waiter's fault and I adjust the tip accordingly.

Front view looks like they may have brushed arms but I don't think so. I didn't see the Dutch runner actually cross the line into the other lane nor did I see the Swiss runner complain afterwards. My conclusion... no interference.
