The course is aimed at level 1 and Level 2 coaches looking for practical sessions in developing overloads to beat defenders with individual dribbling skills and close support play. The morning will be based around linking sessions so as to provide a block of work for players.

Whilst at @crewealexfc we played Tranmere in the Championship. Dario G warned us of the high motivation of John Aldridge and to expect a storm from the start, but also to trust that our way would win out in the end. We went behind but won the game 2-1.

I remember the team talk as if yesterday. A picture was painted of John Aldridge ‘banging drums’, ‘waving swords’, ‘blowing the war trumpet’ and all the tricks to psych players up. We were warned of the ferocity of their start but also assured it wouldn’t last.

Jason Koumas scored early for them and they were very strong first half, but as the game wore on we kept playing our game, slowly our way overtook their temporary lift and we went on to score two goals and secure a win which proved ‘That Belief is stronger than Motivation’.
