While in Denver, I stopped by the @TatteredCover Book Store and signed some copies of #TheLightWeCarry. I’ve enjoyed doing these surprise bookstore visits throughout the year – and this time I decided to bring some folks from my team along with me!
Which bookstore should I stop by next? 📚
This election season, education is on the ballot 🗳️. Here are EdTrust’s educational policy priorities that we want this administration & the next to focus on: https://t.co/yA28oF9xSp
1. Amazingly talented student applies and is admitted to a competitive test optional university.
2. School "procures" scores unbeknownst to student.
3. Student's admission is revoked in late June.
This is why people don't believe "optional means optional."
“The Fanning Center will also be equipped with the Institute’s first-ever sports science lab, which will use pro-model motion tracking to capture student-athletes’ performance data that will feed into an in-house data analytics office for performance tracking and analysis.”
When calling our office to talk about your student's negative admission decision, it is probably best to not insult the entire group of students we did admit, the admissions office or the entire university while using profanity. Just a suggestion.
Thank you to the Office of Access and Student Success for the opportunity to give back to the community. "For The Love Of Children" is a wonderful annual conference, and I enjoy helping #collegebound students and their parents.
Now I want a 3-part docuseries.
Part 1: History of inclusion at NASA & background on subjects.
Part 2: Engineers at work, nationwide.
Part 3: A big ole party with all of them.
