We delivered a wide variety of training including knowledge of legislation, arrest authorities, and the Public-Police Interaction Training Aid with tabletop exercises to apply it. We then brought it all together with handcuffing, expandable baton, and reality-based training.

Using reality-based training, students physically applied the new techniques and physical skills of body position and eye contact, gaining direct experience in managing escalated emotions.

We started with a simulated arrest and how to write court-worthy notes, before working on legislation and how to articulate a use of force incident. We then recertified the group on expandable baton and mechanical restraints.
