I’ve never used the technique in this paper, but if anyone has, please give your thoughts on its usefulness in the calcaneus. Of course you would need a bar like that... My exfix doesn’t stay on long enough to get pin infections in ankle, but if it did, I think this is feasible.

[1/4] Impressively displaced proximal humerus with 90 degrees of varus. This person was elderly but I couldn’t in good conscience treat this nonoperatively, that’s basically a guaranteed nonunion. It almost made it out of the skin (arrow) - watch for open wounds if you see this.
