THREE BABIES SURRENDERED IN ONE WEEK TO SAFE HAVEN BOXES.

A newborn was dropped off Monday at the Woodlands Fire Department box in Texas. Firefighters got the silent alarm and had the baby safe in minutes.

This makes three in just seven days across the program.

Mothers in crisis chose life instead of dumping babies in trash or leaving them to die. The boxes are temperature controlled. They protect anonymity. First responders' step in fast.

Monica Kelsey built this after her own story of being abandoned. Over 60 babies saved since they started.

In a world full of bad choices this is one system actually working.

This is a much better option than aborting an innocent child. I am glad they exist.

BREAKING: Undercover footage shows the nightmarish warehouse cells where NYC carriage horses are trapped in deplorable conditions when not in dangerous NYC traffic.

These poor animals have a HORRIFIC LIFE of walking the busy streets , in and out of congested traffic in hot and cold temperatures. These horses NEVER touch grass, never graze in pastures and no socialization with other horses .

They have NO pasture for grazing and interacting with other horses as herd animals NEED to be healthy and they are denied proper veterinary care.

This story is heartbreaking and infuriating. Cole Schmidtknecht, just 22, died from a preventable asthma attack in January 2024 after OptumRx (UnitedHealth's PBM) dropped coverage on his Advair Diskus, spiking the price from ~$65–$70 to $539 overnight with no proper notice or alternatives offered at Walgreens.

His family filed a wrongful death/negligence lawsuit against OptumRx and Walgreens in January 2025 (on the one year anniversary). A federal judge denied OptumRx's motion to dismiss in mid-2025, so the case is moving forward though it might not reach trial until 2027.

PBMs like OptumRx control formularies, often prioritizing rebates/profits over patient needs, leading to these "step therapy" barriers and sudden denials. Stories like this happen far too often and highlight why real reform banning spread pricing, forcing transparency on rebates, and ending PBM gatekeeping is long overdue.

RIP Cole. His life mattered, and his death shouldn't be in vain. Healthcare shouldn't be a for profit death trap.

Last night, I caught a Wayne County (WV) teacher dropping off dogs on the side of the road.

She is also a leftist which isn’t surprising for a teacher, but is surprising considering I thought most leftists were advocates for animal rights.

The dogs ran into the woods last night. I couldn’t find them. I went back this morning. I did find the dogs, but they won’t come out of the woods. I will try again by bringing some food to them etc.

They are obviously pretty skiddish right now.
