@Lovely__Lizzy dirty dishes from the night before properly in his sink. The crisp air from the outdoors likely masked some of the tobacco stench in the place. There was nothing he could do about the level of dust on every surface. He held onto his scythe and stood in the kitchen awkwardly.

Safe in his flat, he began to run through what he should have done, the words he should have said. Memories flashed before his eyes. A cinematic record presenting a grayscale life with splashes of red that all too quickly faded away.
Why?
He knew.
It was too late now.
switched on the radio and leaned back in his chair. The reaper ignored the broadcast for the most part, using it as background noise to hopefully slip into a quick nap.
When the announcer mentioned the day’s date, bright yellow-green eyes opened in an instant.
