This is my view based on what I know. Given that the Harold Wilson Government sent the British Army into Northern Ireland in 1969, and the British Army's Parachute Regiment is a force of serious aggression, and its mission is to provide the spearhead of an assault with extreme violence. The Parachute Regiment was sent on a Policing opperation with less-than-clear rules of engagement. And this operation appears to have been a difficult mission with extreme violence, inability to strike back as an army would on a conventional battlefield, and captured soldiers facing a cruel and violent end to their lives. Dan Jarvis was a Company Commander in the 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, and he was deployed to Northern Ireland at some point. Now a member of the Labour Party. The Labour Party is keen to pursue and prosecute members of the British Army and Royal Marines who served on Operation Banner for alleged war crimes, and in particular, ex-members of Special Forces and the Parachute Regiment appear to be prioritised and are singled out for attention on this matter. I do not know how this man lives with himself..

If you have unconscious bias and think about it, it is no longer unconscious. You then do the opposite to what you were going to, you have switched biases. So now you have "conscious bias". It looks like we have become so decadent that we can now pay vast amounts of money to people who achieve nothing more in life than change our minds. So now we are paying for thought control.

What was you driving then Greg? I remember a time when someone fried his clutch. Every one racing and then helping the other guy, his car with the transmission out and someone headed home to look for that used but good enough clutch plate and pressure plate for the guy so he can get his car home and go to work in it on Monday.

This is from memory. The absolute best part in that series was "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" as the sun is coming up, the crew arming bombs, sweat dripping and you can feel the heat. And then the trolleys with bombs are pushed onto a hoist and sent up from the magazine to the flight deck. Crew members mounting them on the Buccaneers and Phantoms. Jets manoeuvre around on the flight deck as a Wessex hovers off the port side, keeping pace with the ship. The bridle attached to the aircraft and catapult, the blast deflector raises, the music reaches a crescendo, and the signal is given; the jet engine spools up and then off the flight deck, the nose wheel lifts off the deck. And then they are coming fast and low towards Vieques. That would have to be the best job in the world.

Why do some people think that they are adding to a conversation by dismissing the subject and bringing up a subject that has nothing to do with the one being discussed.? A stupid women, probably less stupid than you, has caused an animal suffering and stress by taking away its offspring. Now I am not dismissing the fact that a man of any colour raping a child is so heinous that I would want to snuff out its existence but I could also change the subject to anything such as free cigarettes for kids on bonfire night.

The people who follow soccer are unlikely to be descendants of ANZACs. They are unlikely to be fans of cricket. I was born in the UK but I went to school in South Africa, with 1971 and half of 1972 in New Zealand so I am a devout supporter of Rugby Union. I have worked with Americans and I have been to the USA many times. My experience is that Americans have treated me so well I could fit into their country and, I would live there and feel at home. I feel sad that people from Australia have been disrespectful towards their hosts. I can remember having an argument with England “rugby fans” in the Elephant and Wheelbarrow Pub in Melbourne when we hosted the Rugby Union World Cup in 2003. They weren’t proper Union fans, they were really soccer fans. Rugby Union fans always get on with each other in the stadium and the pub. I hope that this hasn’t affected our relationship that much.

You stay strong and healthy. The world needs you. Top Gear and your motoring programs were great, fun and entertaining, but I think what you have done, and must keep doing, with ClarksonsFarm is the most important project of your life. You are re-educating society something that was common knowledge, where our food comes from and what it takes to produce it. You have to take the fight against the government and the stupid people who have declared war on farmers. You are doing it and in a way that is humorous and entertaining. We need you. Food security is under threat and the consequences are dire.

There are some weird people on this earth who have even more weird views. I can’t fathom the thought process of person who complained. One of my elderly neighbours, we live on acreages, had the clutch fail on his Massey Ferguson 135 tractor and he needed it to maintain his fields. I just turned up the following Saturday morning with a trailer, knocked on his door and said I had come to collect his tractor and he could call around in an hour to see what was needed. He came around and the tractor was split in two and the clutch was on the bench. He ordered the parts from a list I gave him and brought them around. The new parts didn’t fit properly, they needed some spacers machined up. He had a local shop do it for a few dollars. I put it back together after work and he had his tractor fixed by the following Saturday afternoon. It cost me about eight to ten hours of my life working on the tractor and looking at parts online. The satisfaction of seeing him so happy, and seeing him in his field working with it is worth every minute. I think it would have cost him four times more to get it done at the dealer.

I saw that. I wouldn’t sleep at night knowing I was wasting 100s of millions through incompetence. These people don’t care. I do think Pauline would care and I think that she does want to do the right thing. I just think that we need more politicians who have the knowledge required to make decisions. I think that you should get advice but that advice should not be the to challenge your decision and not the only input to your decision.

An engine that I built years ago. The rocker covers there are just too keep the dust out, it has alloy covers. 351 Cleveland, 4 bolt main bearing caps, bid D1ZZ balancer, Boss 351 camshaft with solid liffters, screw in studs and guide plates. Large port closed chamber 4V cylinder heads. Oil restrictor to force mor oil to the 4MA-B crankshaft. ARP rod bolts, Keith Black pistons. Single groove valves with two springs and a damper. Factory alloy “Buddy Barr” intake with a square bore pattern (Boss 351 has the same manifold but with a spread bore). Holly 780 vacuum secondary with a Ford part number. Balanced with a Ford Top Loader manual transmission. Locally sourced Ford Australia electronic distributor curved to suit the engine. Compression ratio was 11:1.
