Seven teenagers were walking through Ashington, Northumberland, when they noticed an older man on crutches fall to the ground.

They could have kept walking. Instead, all seven stopped.

The boys helped him back onto his feet, made sure he was steady, then stayed with him. Rather than leaving him to continue alone, they walked alongside him all the way home.

They didn't know anyone was watching.

But CCTV outside The Cosy Cup had quietly captured the whole thing.

When staff later checked the footage, they saw what the teenagers had done and shared the moment, giving seven young lads some recognition they never stopped to ask for.

They weren't performing for a camera or waiting for someone to notice. As far as they knew, it was just an older man who had fallen and needed a hand getting home.

The UK Divisional Court established that a lawful activity cannot be deemed an unlawful assembly or a breach of the peace simply because it might provoke others to act unlawfully or violently.

This was established when members of the Salvation Army marched in Weston-super-Mare. A hostile rival group called the "Skeleton Army" regularly opposed them, leading to public disturbances and riots.

Local magistrates banned the Salvation Army from marching and bound them over to keep the peace to prevent further riots.

The court overturned the magistrates' decision. Mr Justice Field famously ruled that because the Salvation Army's march was entirely peaceful and lawful, they could not be held responsible for the lawless reactions of a hostile crowd.

In short, the law must target the wrongdoers committing the violence, not the innocent people acting lawfully.

🚨BREAKING: A UK judge has ruled that a Gazan refugee and mother of three must be allowed to bring 18 family members to Britain.

Upper Tribunal Judge Gemma Loughran upheld a decision that refusing entry to the extended family would breach the European Convention on Human Rights, citing the woman’s mental health and the right to family life.

The relatives approved to come include:
- Her parents
- A brother, his wife, and their four children
- A sister and her four children
- Another sister, her husband, and their three children

The woman only has space to house her parents. The remaining 16 family members will require taxpayer-funded housing and will be eligible for welfare support.

The Home Office fought this decision but were overruled. The power seriously needs to be taken away from these judges.
