@themarketsniper Only a handful of Govts showed some backbone Kenya, India (maybe Russia) come to mind. There are 10's of thousands of complicit criminals in this bloodbath including the UN.
@themarketsniper Very true, it was and still is a massive network of enrichment at any inhumane cost. On the plus side it destroyed the credibility of journalism, big tech, medical and Pharma sectors, exposed Govts everywhere as cowardly, useful idiots
BoJ hikes by .25% to 1% today, effectively a 33% increase. BoJ had given markets advance warning of the move so little reaction to the announcement. Also noted further hikes likely
@zerohedge About 3 false dawns on normalizing Hormuz. Meanwhile oil prices stay high. Inflation likely a big problem into '27 and more rate hikes ahead. Fin sector of JSE taking a hit.
@themarketsniper When I get the bike running again in a few days (leaking fuel tap), I will go to Gericke's Point near Sedgefield. A good place for some whale spotting.
@eugyppius1 What worries me is Germany moving towards full military conscription. Germany has real military industrial capacity (maybe Sweden is similar), unlike the British who couldn't produce a pistol these days.
@Jonathan_Witt Aside from election interference, what is the point when there are only 2 parties? One is deep blue, the other is mostly blue and the country is run by deep blue civil servants/courts, firmly embedded parasites.
@RWMaloneMD They also support the jihadi lunatics in Africa, active in the Sahel and deep into Nigeria, in east Africa and as far south as Mozambique. They only bring even greater suffering to already destitute people. People say Moz jihadis are already in South Africa
@NickHudsonCT Something like 1 in 5 people in SA are illegal, without a visa or even a passport stamped at the border. 12 million people overburdening water, electricity, hospitals, schools etc. The water crisis is amplified by a foreign-born population explosion.
BTC falling to about 67 today, very concerning. Next real support level is around 49. Would be the end of road for the BTC treasury companies who will be forced to liquidate and drive price even lower.
'Markets are breaking' narrative is gaining credibility. The same is true for the highly synthetic crypto market. When high frequency players are done with whip-sawing the markets only stagnant ruins will be left.
Gold ripping higher, up by $145. Silver rising at 2x speed of gold. Long-dated J Bonds have collapsed. 20 and 30-yr have weakened by almost 7%. That's a melt down move by bond market standards. Expect a hike from BoJ in coming days.
@HowardFeldman@News24 Legacy media is just junk, not just News24, all of it. If there was any benefit from the absurdity of 2020, it highlighted the lack of impartiality and critical thinking, intentional false reporting, hidden agendas, rigid alignment across companies and countries.
