@vp_ffc@AlexJamesBowmer Genuinely must be something about your lot. Even Eze gave it in the FA cup. I literally never saw him do that to anyone else in 5 years at Palace.
@PalacePeaked@MegaMitchellFan@cpfcisaac Yeah, I see your point. Very annoying that we don't really have anyone else of that profile. Should have recruited for it in the summer (even though I like Timber).
@MegaMitchellFan@cpfcisaac I'd stick with Wharton, for sure. But we need a solution for his deficiencies when he's off the ball, and I don't think Kamada or Timber provide that.
@FulhamSense It's about off-the-field stuff. Parish gave an interview where he basically said he wanted to Americanise the club, which is a bit shit.
Most of us are still behind the team and the manager (even though performances have to improve).
I said similar in reply to someone but I think it’s worth expanding on. I think the club have completely misjudged what tourists actually value at Selhurst.
Tourists will always come when we play the big 6 to see them. What would attract a tourist to come watch us play the other 13 clubs, especially the smaller, less high profile games? For most it would be the atmosphere we’ve marketed abroad constantly over the years.
Europeans and South Americans love it, this Americanisation would put them off. And even lots of fans from the US chose us because of our unique atmosphere. They can watch better cheerleaders with better light/pyro shows in far better seats back home. Why would they come to watch Palace when they can get that experience back at home? Or at a bigger club? Or a club with a better stadium?
The fact is you can’t have a sanitised, corporate experience in a ground like Selhurst. It may work in a shiny bowl like the Amex or the emirates. Even grounds like the Hill Dickinson, Anfield, or Villa Park. But a tiny, run down shack in the middle of Croydon? Come on.
Premier League executives would ultimately love to push out season ticket holders for tourists who they can charge 2x or 3x as much per game. But anyone paying that price with no attachment to the club isn’t going to accept the view at the back of the Arthur, or the toilets, cramped concourses, cold food, issues at the turnstiles, a tiny box office and club shop that you have to queue 30 minutes just to get inside.
And if we go down? They all disappear. Do you really want to lose your loyal fanbase too?
Can we not just make a decision rather than have a gun constantly pointed at Sage's head? These constant leaks aren't helping anything. Either you trust him to come good with the resources at his disposal, or you don't. It shouldn't be that hard.
Understand that Pierre Sage will take charge of Crystal Palace’s games against Fulham and Tottenham this week but is expected be sacked if they lose against Spurs on Saturday. Told that a couple of leading players in squad have sent messages of support to the Frenchman
For all of the bad defending and results recently, it’s amazing that the negativity around the fans isn’t aimed at the manager or players.
And that is exactly how it should be.
We want our Selhurst back.
I spoke to Pierre Sage for a good 15+ minutes last Thursday afternoon in Istanbul
1-2-1 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.
He came across as such a great guy who has passion and ambition for the club I love he has the same goals and agenda I have that is to leave it in a better when we leave.
I arrived and have supported Palace through thick and thin since 1980 obviously longer than Pierre as he was 6 months old.
The people who are running our club are destroying us.
If they put into the club the same amount as us loyal fans instead of only wanting to take out all would be good but they are Buisness people who are only interested in making money.
They’ve employed people who are only interested in maximising profits, finding new ways of earning more money and couldn’t care less in the destruction of our values of our club.
We’ve had our club hijacked piece by piece.
They are not interested in our views or our identity.
They are so arrogant they think they know best and drive their vision of our club through no matter what.
I’m sick of token gesture groups set up who think they know what’s best for us it’s all a con they’re being manipulated and just yes people.
Our loyalty is being betrayed. Crystal Palace is built on our fan base. The real fanbase not tourists or the rich day trippers that want to experience our uniqueness built on Our Blood , Sweet and tears I’m afraid that’s not for sale.
You can sell your corporate packages but you can’t sell us the heart beat the grit the passion of the club.
I’ve never considered not attending Palace my whole lifetime it would be inconceivable but the whole package that is being served to us at the moment is unacceptable, unpalatable and a disgusting disgrace.
Anyone decent in the staff has also left or wants to leave.
They’re are also a lot of good decent staunch people left in our club certain players, plenty of coaching staff etc.
In 896 home games I’ve been to Selhurst Park yesterday was a top 5 bad experience ,
A Rock Bottom if things don’t change rapidly it’s end of . I ain’t talking about Sage either it’s the hierarchy and the people in senior positions either get in the trenches with us or go away or we’ll go away.
I hope it’s not too late but maybe it is they haven’t got their fingers on the pulse like we have because they are not the heartbeat of our club
Never in 46 years have I ever experienced such a disconnect between us fans and the club it’s beyond comprehension.
You’ll need a smaller ground not a larger ground with all this Americanisation of our club
We want our club back. ⚰️ ❤️💙🦅
@CEO4TAG
Steve, I’ve never tagged you in a moan before. I know 95% of the times you get tagged on here it’s not justified, and the abuse hurled your way is not on
Putting the on-pitch issues to one side, I am now actively not enjoying the matchday experience at Selhurst

@JMozzyForest Palace were the biggest xG underperformers in the entire league in both his full seasons with us, and by some distance.
The fact it's carried over tells me that it's a structural issue.
Couldn't tell you why though - very bizarre.
Another point: it's genuinely extraordinary how people are more aggrieved by Bournemouth's European exploits than, say, PSG's.
Last I checked, Bournemouth didn't burn their entire domestic league to the ground to get to where they are today.
@_yxan14@CR2SE25 The blame for that is on the other associations who have ruined the competitive balance in their own leagues, and are therefore suffering the financial consequences.
PL dominance in Europe should be a wake-up call for others to do better, but that seems to get missed.
