Also, by "like" it can be anything else with is triggered by a one-click action.

Which is the biggest drawback of touchscreen UI.

Forcing double-touch for scroll would solve it, but isn't nice to "thumb-driven-scrolling" that is prevalent on hand-held devices.

That awkward moment when you want to scroll down but your touch screen registers a "click"...

And Murphy's Law said it is a "Like" on something you really don't. Which you didn't notice since it is now far away... Remember the "Scrolling down" part?

... but once you noticed, fixing it is rather simple, I admit.

The only thing you cannot fix is the notifications that might have been generated.

Putting the burden on the vendors might indeed kill some cheapo ones, but could also improve the full ecosystem by changing its mindset.

It wasn't a possible idea before. Yet it becomes more and more plausible.

USB-C standardized is great.

But imagine all the e-waste avoided if simy each vendor of an electronic device was forced to document and allow alternative FW the moment the device is EOL.

Do not want to open it? Simply support it longer.

@flameeyes My point is the total opposite. It leverages the mass market to enable cheap and high quality products, yet enables them to be rooted "by design" after EOL.

It feels very much like copyright or patents, giving a private headstart.

Il est très facile d'adhérer à des opinions à l'emporte-pièce quand on a pas le temps de se poser et de refléchir.

Ce qui est de plus en plus le cas avec l'abondance des réseaux sociaux actuels. Twitter en est un exemple
flagrant, vs un blog.

@bortzmeyer @tetz_e Le vrai sujet est bien plus profond. En effet, s'ils ne s'agitent pas publiquement, on leur reprochera de ne pas s'intéresser au sujet.

Le vrai sujet est donc plutôt l'incapacité des masses à être objectif sur le fond et ignorer la forme. #bikeshedding
