@Scots_Woe_Hey Scotland need to look at the bandings again. Any modern property is penalised as the valuations are based on 1991. Some huge properties with Band D and modern 3-4 beds at band G. It crazy. Ours is £458 per month for a small 2015 4 bed - Argyll & Bute

@chrislittlewoo8 North of the border, still using 1991 valuations. Meaning our home, built 2005 is a stupidly high band for an average family house. £458 a month here. Coupled with the higher rates of tax here.. The gift that keeps on giving

@denkmit I’m flying U.K. to Bangkok and was supposed to be via Dubai yesterday. Emirates did t officially cancel the flight until 4 hours before so making plan B was very expensive. The airlines are charging like wounded rhinos. Hope your backup plan works. Safe travels

@BBCWestScot This is disgusting. The bands need to be re-evaluated. Any modern property is banded far too high for the size of/ value of the property. Getting less and less for more money. Appreciate the councils are being short changed by government

@ScotNational Maybe time to look at the valuation of properties and the council tax bandings. Huge expensive older houses currently in low bands and newer properties at a fraction of the value in high bands. The bandings simply need a refresh
