I sent a care package to a soldier in 2007 and got several pictures in return. This was one of those pictures. As an artist, I felt compelled to make this photo a painting.

Tammie Jo Shults was the Captain of Southwest Flight 1380 LGA-Dallas on that fateful day in April in 2018. Somewhere past Philadelphia the left engine exploded and one passenger was killed.
