Ronnie O'Sullivan offers one lucky Snooker 900 player the chance of a lifetime with 'The Dream Ticket'
Ronnie O'Sullivan is giving one amateur player the opportunity to win £5,000 and face him in the opening round of the Snooker 900 Crucible Cup, live on Pluto TV this November.
The event, won last year by Neil Robertson, returns to Pluto TV on 24 and 25 November, with O'Sullivan already confirmed alongside the defending champion. This year, however, there's an exciting new twist.
One player will earn The Dream Ticket – a guaranteed £5,000, the chance to play Ronnie O'Sullivan in the opening round, and the opportunity to compete for the tournament's £25,000 top prize.
Getting there won't be easy.
On 17 and 18 October, teams of four players will descend on the Liberwin Arena in Reading to compete in a unique knockout team competition. Through a combination of doubles and singles matches, one team will emerge victorious.
But that's when the real drama begins.
In true Survivor Series style, the winning teammates will then be forced to compete against one another. Players will be drawn into head-to-head pairs, with the two winners meeting in a final singles match to decide who claims The Dream Ticket.
Ronnie O'Sullivan said:
"At Snooker 900 we're always looking for ways to give amateur players the chance to mix it with the professionals. We know our format and the new rules can level the playing field, so this is your chance to win your ticket, come and take me on, and if you beat me, who's to say you can't go on and pocket the £25,000?
"At the Global Billy Castle was just one ball away from knocking me out, so we know it can be done."
Snooker 900 creator Jason Francis added:
"The beauty of this format is that it's a genuine team event – until it isn't. First, you need to be part of a team that's good enough to win the competition. Then you have to beat your own teammates to earn the chance to face Ronnie.
"It's a fantastic twist that adds another layer of pressure and excitement, with an incredible prize waiting for the player who comes through it all."
