#TeachWithSurface#eduday2022#MSAUedu What? You want me to choose one skill or strategy I learned today from the wealth of educationally robust new features I saw? Just not possible. Oh, and thanks for filling up the remainder of my holidays as I try out all you showed me.๐
#eduday2022 I had a lot of success combining Teams and Minecraft. I had students working collaboratively in small groups in Minecraft and used breakout rooms for them to use to communicate. I could easily jump into any room to provide assistance or ensure students were on track.
Microsoft Teams made remote learning for our school incredibly easy. Along with the sharing features of Office, we were able to monitor student work live. #EduDay2022
#eduday2022 Minecraft is amazing. In a class I loaded Minecraft on my computer and sent my screen (and sound) to the projector. As the Minecraft music began to play in the background, one of my students was overheard to say, โHere that? Thatโs the sound of freedom!โ
Attending the two-day conference, "Data-Informed Evidence-Based Teaching". Looking forward to seeing how close we are to hitting the mark with using student data.
When I did my DipEd 40 years ago I was shown a program called Plato that I was told would replace a lot of my teaching. Perhaps we are finally getting closer to it. #EduDay2021
#EduDay2021 created many deep questions today that I will now use to initiate ongoing discussions with my colleagues. It is too easy to attend and then forget what was presented. I need to do the hard yards to bring about change.
Whilst in person conferences have advantages, today is much more accessible by being online. I get the opportunity to hear top speakers and network without giving up excessive time. #EduDay2021
A refreshing look at maintaining digital health by @JocelynBrewer. A very down-to-earth session without moving into hysteria as this topic often does. #EduDay2021
IT skills big in emerging jobs. So why aren't students taking IT subjects in senior years? Only 996 students took Data Analytics in year 12 (Victoria) in 2020. #EduDay2021
