You don't get a discount at the shops for being under 18.
But if the person serving you on the other side of the counter is young, they could be on half the wage of their colleagues.

This is a dealbreaker.
There is no “middle ground” w/ climate denial & delay.
Blaming “blue collar” Americans as the main opponents to bold climate policy is gas lobbyist 101.
We’re not going to solve the climate crisis w/ this lack of leadership. Our kids’ lives are at stake.
I’d like to share another “unusual” (but shouldn’t be) part of my office policy w/ you all: Parental Leave!
Three members of our small team are expectant or new parents in the first 6 mos of my term.
In my office, *every* new parent receives 3 mos paid leave - including dads.
Anna Soubry is on #BBCQT for Tinge.
She voted -
51 X times cut benefits
14 X for the Bedroom Tax
23 X to reduce corporation tax
Anna claimed £14 expenses for the cost of delivering Remembrance Day poppies.
Anna Soubry has a majority of 863 and wants to change politics.
Amber Rudd is on #BBCQT tonight. Last month she claimed people are using Foodbanks because they don’t know what benefits they should be getting. Thousands of foodbank users are working, or they’ve been sanctioned, or they are waiting weeks for a payment.
She is utterly clueless.
What I find strangest about Greens cosying up to Lib Dem’s and Change UK is that those people utterly hate the left and generally don’t care about climate change.
I imagine we’ll see that come to the fore in the next few weeks.
People saying ‘Corbyn is the subject, stick to the subject’ have missed the point that we’re asking why is it only Corbyn who is the subject in a field where other politicians write intros to racist books and don’t ‘notice’ the racism? #BigSubject
Summary of #LocalElection2019 so far:
Remainers will look at losses and say Labour should be anti-Brexit
Leavers will look at losses and say Labour should be pro-Brexit
Agnostics will look at low turnout /unique circumstances and curse David Cameron for fucking up the country
Shoutout to all my @UKLabour voting friends & family today! It’s the actual least you can do if you care about the NHS, schools, social care & so much more. xx
Great result. Labour have picked up councillors in Worthing in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The party didn’t have a single councillor there for *40 years* before 2017.
Lib Dems
1) Started from a very low position after their 2015 whitewash
2) Picked up seats & councils in mainly Tory areas
3) Demonstrates how interchangeable Lib Dems & Tories are
4) Anyone know a single Lib Dem policy apart from "Stop Brexit"?
