University of Washington Emerg. Mgmt. Director (2003-Present)
District of Columbia EMA (1999-2003) Div. Director
City of Phoenix EM Director (1988-1999)
@Matt_Fox10@FOX10Phoenix@JonScottFNC@brianstelter@fox5dc @CillizzaCNN @AndrewFeinberg@fox5ny@JakeSherman@Reddy@nytmike @VelshiMSNBC I've known Wendy for 25 years, when I was the Phoenix EM in the 90's. She stood on her professional ethics. Sucks when people don't follow the plans they signed, makes no sense! Glad I moved to WA state where science, facts & medical advice is followed by our Governor! Bad Ducey!
@BSteinberg65 @Matt_Fox10@FOX10Phoenix@JonScottFNC@brianstelter@fox5dc @CillizzaCNN @AndrewFeinberg@fox5ny@JakeSherman@Reddy@nytmike @VelshiMSNBC She is neither entitled nor spoiled. Dont pass judgement. After years of getting EMD accredited & developing plans (which the Governor signed) they should be followed! Get a grip-throw your barbs to the Governor & not Wendy. Dont pick on a girl-didn't your Momma teach you that?
@BSteinberg65 @Matt_Fox10@FOX10Phoenix@JonScottFNC@brianstelter@fox5dc @CillizzaCNN @AndrewFeinberg@fox5ny@JakeSherman@Reddy@nytmike @VelshiMSNBC Brian-you're way off. I was the Phoenix EM Director1988-1999 & still a practicing emergency manager, now the EM for the University of Washington in Seattle..the 1st epicenter of COVID-19. Wendy dedicated her entire professional career to the State and is a national EM superstar.
@mcginnis920@uwalert@KING5Seattle Technically, the UW never "closes".. we "Suspend Operations". Yes, there arent' classes today, but essential staff must still report to work to house/feed dorm students, UW Police must patrol the campus, keep the Power Plant running, and perform other core services..
