@jayzawaski Fans, and for that matter analysts look at trades in a silo. I agree, on the surface it is an overpay. Consider these two things: 1. The Blackhawks do not have to worry about the cap floor, this frees them up to trade a salary like Teuvo, Bert, or Donato, or buyout Burky..

@BlackhawksFocus I think you and I are in the minority of liking the deal. Yes, it is an overpay, but it is a sellers market, prices are high. I don't mind Crevier so much, loved his year, but really think it was a one-off, I still think long term he's a 7th D. We'll see.
