It was a privilege to work with citizens on advisory committees to council. Carrying community knowledge forward to the council table is integral to good governance & better outcomes. Removing councillors dilutes democracy, trust & ties to local expertise. https://t.co/2QKs6oj6SI
AMAZING NEWS! Way to go @PtboCounty! Trifecta of excellence indeed! Can't wait to see what you do next and hopefully work with you on progressing business and tourism in the county.
1 MILLION. Last week at our Volunteer Appreciation Night, we shared the news that we've surpassed 1,000,000 pounds diverted from the landfill. We never would have dreamed that in just 3.5 years we'd hit such a terrific milestone. Thanks for your support! On to the next million!
@GermainMa1 Yes no doubt you have plans tomorrow I wanted to say hi anyways. Will keep you posted - should have other opportunities on the Lang Hastings Trail later this summer.

Another opportunity to contribute to citizen science in the Kawarthas and Ontario at large. Learn more about the Invasive Species Centre's upcoming iNaturalist Bioblitz in their post.
@EMcMahon_TCT It would be great to spread this message to other groups along the TCT network to embrace biodiversity for pollinators. The messaging in yesterdays Trail Talk video is super timely and more important then ever. Appreciate your vision and support!!
@EMcMahon_TCT Thank you very much for yesterday's Trail Talk Live. It is very inspiring. I am working on a project wanting to focus on education and hands on stewardship work to increase biodiversity for pollinators along my local TCT partner trail.

#ONStorm#ONwx Potential multi-day severe event on the way for Southern Ontario later this week? 👀
📅 Wednesday, Aug. 23 - Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023
We've got our eyes on a potential multi-day severe thunderstorm risk starting Wednesday evening and carrying into Thursday. There's even a chance for a second round on Thursday afternoon and evening.
Right now, things are a bit uncertain. Models show a strong and dynamic environment, especially in Southwestern Ontario. But the exact extent of storm activity is still unclear. Some models even suggest there might be no storm development at all which would turn this event into a bust. Let's hope for the best, because if storms do occur, they could bring significant hazards like large hail, strong winds, and maybe even tornadoes.
The focus for both days is in Southwestern Ontario, including places like Windsor, Chatham, Sarnia, and London. The risk might stretch into the Golden Horseshoe and parts of Central Ontario, but the overall severity is expected to be lower.
Stay tuned for our detailed forecast update, coming later today. We'll break down what's happening and what you should know.
