A profound exchange was captured in the notes of Maryland delegate Dr. James McHenry at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention in 1787. As Benjamin Franklin was leaving Independence Hall, a Mrs. Powel from Philadelphia called out, “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?” Without pause, he answered, “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

In honor of Constitution Day, I encourage everyone to take the time to read this founding document written to “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity…” Study it. Take a moment to discuss it with your children and think about what it represents and guarantees. Reflect on the sacrifices made by those who, from the inception of this country up to the present day, fought to give us the options and opportunities we enjoy as citizens of the United States. As I wrote in the preface to THE TERMINAL LIST: “We are citizens, not subjects, and we must stay ever vigilant that we remain so.”

Never take our freedoms for granted. Before giving up what so many died to establish and defend, it is imperative we study our history. For longer than the length of a Tweet or a two-minute sound bite on cable news, we need to consider the consequences of placing more dependence on government. Future generations deserve our best efforts to preserve the freedoms so many fought and died for. Think for yourself. Think logically. Remember that the government serves us, not the other way around. Beware of continuing to give power to our employees. We have been handed a sacred trust by those who pledged their lives to the idea of freedom, the idea that was, and is, America. Honor their sacrifice by putting the requisite thought into decisions that will directly impact future generations.

At my military retirement ceremony in 2016, I gave each of my children a set of gifts, symbolic of what it means to be a self-reliant citizen of a free nation: a Bible and a compass to help guide them, The Constitution of the United States as a reminder of our natural rights and freedoms, and a Tomahawk representing the means and will to defend them.
I'm getting awfully stressed without the time to knit every day (my hands are always typing notes during calls with RNC members and supporters). If you run into me and I seem intense, this is why! I'm intensely committed to setting our party back on the RIGHT path -- winning!
The mainstream media told us the Hunter Biden’s laptop story was fake.
Then admitted it was real years later.
Now, they’re barely covering the @elonmusk#TwitterFiles.
How long until they realize their mistake again?
More than a few DC Republicans have been happy to see @RealDonaldTrump and other conservatives censored and suppressed by Big Tech. Hence, their relative silence in support of @ElonMusk.
What’s truly amazing is how much better the batting average of your average “conspiracy theorist” was relative to that of your “highly educated” elitist journalists for the last few years on issues of the world.
It ain’t even close!
Elon Musk is in the crosshairs of some VERY powerful people. People who will destroy your life and family.
Yet he exposed the truth anyways without batting an eye. This is the courage I wish our elected leaders had.
She had lost the Wyoming primary by 40 points.
He was a disgraced CNN anchor.
Together, could they learn to love again?

@EpochTimes The "vaccine" does nothing to prevent Covid-19, could even be amplifying the contagion. Natural immunity is the best protection, maybe the ONLY protection. Therapeutics are the real answer.
