You dislike Lassalle because he was a Socdem. I dislike Lassalle because he was an idealist Hegelian

[Felix Helberg @unitas_spiritus]

Also both Kautsky and a novelist both report how in both Germany and Austria they couldn't escape this portrait of Lassalle in workers buildings because it was the most popular one

@Bleoodlust__ “But bartender, I am Togliatti!”

[Man @SteveFMCFT]

@OrphanInnocent @comrade_gerge .and fool and doubter and unholy one and villain. You must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame: how could you become new, if you had not first become ashes?”

[Man @SteveFMCFT]

@OrphanInnocent @comrade_gerge “But the worst enemy you can meet will always be yourself; you lie in wait for yourself in caverns and forests. Lonely one, you are going the way to yourself! And your way goes past yourself, and past your seven devils! You will be a heretic to yourself and witch and soothsayer..

[Man @SteveFMCFT]

@OrphanInnocent @comrade_gerge It’s not swifting blame to say two cans can be true, that being that it’s old and translated from German

[Man @SteveFMCFT]

@OrphanInnocent @comrade_gerge “It is a painful and tragic spectacle that rises before me: I have drawn back the curtain from the rottenness of man. This word, in my mouth, is at least free from one suspicion: that it involves a moral accusation against humanity.” - Nietzsche

[Man @SteveFMCFT]

@OrphanInnocent @comrade_gerge Because it sounds old?

[Man @SteveFMCFT]

@OrphanInnocent @comrade_gerge Also you’re not even taking into consideration that this is a translation from an originally German text

[Man @SteveFMCFT]

@OrphanInnocent @comrade_gerge “You guys are In a religion because guy from 200 years ago talks like a guy from 200 years ago which I can only compare to a sermon because I’m so detached from society” do deniers really?

[Jash Dholani | link in bio has my books! @oldbooksguy]

it is absolutely imperative that you set up your timeline to encounter more old art, and less new AI slop. give your attention to artists who have labored painstakingly to actualize their vision, one intentional brushstroke at a time

[Man @SteveFMCFT]

This is leaving out the important context that it wasn’t the joke itself that got him dismissed and sent to the eastern front, but the fact he was LAUGHING TO HIMSELF about his own joke
