@MinaThePharaoh Yup weird . The recording device was amateur level as well...

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@kurtbuhler I have found my AI focus area has had to narrow - just to keep me sane.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@theo Buying tokens via API is essentially a business decision that puts a handbrake on productivity and innovation.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@s6juncheng I suspect after maths-apocalypse there may be slower uptake than hoped.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@mark_k Seemed like amateur hr all round TBH.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@kurtbuhler Yes, definitely there are some shocking examples out there. But are there some people that generate AI writing so well we don't even know it's AI writing?

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@0to1guy @rileybrown I disagree- video / animation is an information dense medium. Perfect for consuming a lot of information in a short period of time. Great TED talk about this 14 years ago by Chris Anderson of Wired Magazine : https://t.co/sZUww7Vt3Z

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@petergyang @darshen Isomorphic labs would seem like a good template to follow.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@emollick As AI makes finding answers cheaper and faster, framing the right questions becomes increasingly important.

Those answers become building blocks for asking better questions, leading to new discoveries and even more questions.

It's a flywheel of discovery.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@lambdacalcc @polynoamial Reasonable question. But I also wonder if folks with Cancer or other diseases that could be cured with scientific advanced would think the same.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@markchen90 Cancer - can you sort that out..please?

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@kimmonismus I could imagine a quite a few math's PhD and Post Docs have just had their research projects torched. "Oh - AI just solved the thing I have been working on for the last 5 years." Must be an interesting feeling.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@kurtbuhler Yeah- crazy that this is the norm now. I needed a teleprompter for a conference promo. "Claude create a teleprompter" - one shotted it . Camera lines, delivery speed, target duration, script editing - all included without asking 🙃

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@petergyang Agree the app has become a shit show - can't find anything, confusing to navigate etc

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@mark_k As someone who used Opus 5.5 (med) and Sol 6.1 (high) to prep my taxes today- I think accountants are still safe...for the moment.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@BrianMRey The 3am reference related to the meme..

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@ai_for_success What tool was used ?

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@kurtbuhler Have you tested if using worktrees speeds up the build process, by enabling parallel subagents (working on different visuals)?

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@kurtbuhler @CryptoBer Do you think skills still help re token effeciency? Ie stopping the agent going down dead end alleys.

[Steve Fox @SteveFox231809]

@kurtbuhler @sansbacon Great overview - makes me feel Microsoft has a problem. In the last 6 months, it feels like there is a real AI race between Fabric, Databricks and Snowflake. I suspect the ease and efficiency of Agentic dev will have a significant influence on who pulls a head.
