The Government wants to push through water legislation, locking in a failed privatised system for decades without giving the public a say.
I’ve signed the petition to stop this water stitch-up and demand a public consultation. Add your name: https://t.co/XBsVjW6RIX
Today I’m speaking out. Not for attention. Not for comfort. But because silence hasn’t protected anyone.
For a long time, I’ve been supporting people sleeping rough across London many of them women , alongside their dogs. Dogs who are often the only constant, the only safe relationship, the only reason their humans are still here.
Behind the scenes, there is so much the public never sees. Services that look good on paper but fail people in reality. Safeguarding processes that don’t safeguard. Mental health and addiction systems that retraumatise instead of heal.
Women enduring diabolical levels of support while being told they are “hard to engage”.
After the sudden death of one of our clients, something shifted. Enough is enough.
Today I sent a hard-hitting email to every service involved , MPs, safeguarding leads, commissioners. It wasn’t easy, and it may not do me any favours. But staying quiet would make me complicit.
If I have to walk away one day, I want to know I did so having stood up, spoken out, and tried my absolute best , especially for the women whose voices are ignored and whose dogs are their lifeline.
Change doesn’t come from silence. It comes from courage. And today, I choose courage.
If you care about homelessness, women’s safety, mental health, addiction, and the dogs who walk every step of this journey with their humans , please pay attention. This system needs to change 🧡
Millions of people could be denied a vote on how their local council is run. We’re calling on the political parties to ask their Council Leaders to say NO to cancelling local elections. @UnlockDemocracy https://t.co/sGI0F2P0Cb
The algorithms are making it a lot harder to spread the word about these online talks. Although numbers are still reasonable, it would be a great help if folk were able to give the 30 December event a quick share 🙂

We don’t have any more words to say that will make you sign a petition you don’t want to support so we just ask you watch this video and then tell us why you won’t help stop healthy dogs from losing their lives?

WE WON 💥 The two-child benefit limit is GONE! This will pull 470,000 children out of severe hardship by 2027.
This is a massive victory for families, campaigners, and every one of you that played your part urging the Chancellor to act.
I've added my name to Richard Burgon MP's open letter to the Prime Minister and the Chancellor - calling on the Government to Tax Wealth at the Autumn Budget and to fund emergency Action on the cost of living crisis.

The lucky ones escape. The unlucky ones die a slow, painful death. It’s time to end bird netting, not just for pigeons and gulls, but for all bird species.
💔 Honouring a Brave Member of Our Team: Amadu Bangura 💔
On that horrific day aboard the train there was another hero on duty whose courage deserves to be recognised and remembered.
His name is Amadu Bangura. #Peterboroughtrainincident
🔴All the Big Government Reforms the Media Hasn’t Been Telling You About

We are deeply saddened by the news that Prunella Scales – a true British icon – has died. Prunella was an inspiration not just for her achievements on screen, but because she spoke so openly about living with dementia,
We are profoundly grateful for the awareness she helped to raise and send our heartfelt condolences to her loved ones.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
This is extremely encouraging! Let's hope @MoJGovUK ensure Pagans and other religious minorities are treated equally under these reforms - and that independent celebrants (who can offer the most freedom in wedding ceremonies) are included. @thewildhunt@paganfederation
Help to #SaveOurSquirrels! For over 20 years, we’ve been working to protect Red Squirrels in mid-Wales, but now a wind farm development threatens to destroy one of the few forests they still call home and push this population to the brink of extinction. https://t.co/QiV120pbrL
