A 25-year-old woman fell from the sixth floor of an apartment in Thome Estate, Nairobi, after an alleged domestic altercation with her police officer partner.
She sustained severe injuries including a broken hand and spinal damage, leaving her paralyzed and hospitalized at Kenyatta National Hospital.
The victim’s sister, Annette Omondi, claims the suspect assaulted her sibling during a drinking session, hitting her with a bottle and causing heavy bleeding. The suspect allegedly called their father, saying she was “disciplining” the victim.
Detectives at Kasarani Police Station are investigating. Conflicting accounts suggest the victim may have jumped, but the family suspects she was pushed.
The suspect remains at large, and the victim’s testimony will be crucial once she recovers
