@michael_nielsen A major factor in this astonishing increase of 55cm is the lower air density at altitude. A calculation of the flight itself shows only a 7cm benefit [1], but the majority of the benefit of the altitude is in the increased maximum speed of the run-up, giving a total of 31cm [2].

Fairly vague categories, but I agree the paper needed to do something to separate "full" tools from handy reusable components.

The Iung paper has text, graphical, tabular and symbolic: better, and I built on those, even if each representational paradigm is still imprecise. For me, being able to edit rather like text is a key selling point of MPS. The Whole Platform didn't really have that in the Erdweg paper, not sure about Intentional. Even the cookie form on MPS site is ASCII art, so I didn't feel "text" was tabu.

I nearly wrote "book-like", since books mix text, tables, formulae etc. — but then there are picture books too. MetaEdit+ is more than "graphical" and Xtext more than "text (parsed)" too. Need more words!
