Zlatan Ibrahimović on Canada qualifying for the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 for the first time ever:
🗣️ “This is why people fall in love with football. Today wasn't just about Canada qualifying for the Round of 16 it was about an entire nation creating history that nobody can ever take away.”
“I looked at the faces of the Canadian players after the final whistle. Some were crying, some couldn't believe what had just happened. Those weren't tears of weakness; they were tears of people who had spent their whole lives dreaming of this exact moment.”
“To the supporters, never let anyone tell you football is just a game. I saw families celebrating, children hugging their parents and fans singing with tears in their eyes. These are the moments that unite a country forever.”
“People will remember the goals and the result, but they'll never understand the sacrifices behind it. Years of criticism, disappointments, injuries and pressure have all led to one unforgettable night. That's what makes history so beautiful.”
“For every Canadian player wearing that shirt tonight, remember this feeling. You are no longer just footballers you are the generation that changed your country's football story forever. Every child who picks up a ball tomorrow will believe because of what you achieved today.”
“The knockout stage doesn't care about history, reputation or big names. It rewards courage, belief and those who refuse to give up. Canada earned this moment because they never stopped believing when the rest of the world doubted them.”
“And to the fans, celebrate like there's no tomorrow because nights like these don't come often. Years from now, people won't ask where you watched the match they'll ask how it felt to witness the night Canada reached the Round of 16 for the very first time.”
“This is bigger than football. This is the night an entire nation stopped dreaming about history and started living it.”
@yegwave If only there was a way to see where the snow removal equipment was working in the city...maybe an app or something online... like this

@frank_seravalli I thought they would name Bedard to the team and then have the out of naming a replacement for him if he isn't back to full form prior to the tournament
OK. Lets look at how the GoA's strategy to suppress/oops, administer C-19 vaccination is going this year. Data from the Respiratory dashboard.
We are about 8 weeks into the "campaign" at this point. /1
I've had a great conversation with someone who knows how vaccines are ordered and distributed.
Let's see where the blame lies for the vaccine shortfall in AB this year.
A bit of necessary background. Vaccines are not like regular drugs. For something like penicillin - /1
Disappointed to hear that Alberta teachers have rejected our offer.
As you can see by the chart below conservative governments have been giving them generous pay increases for over a decade.
These teachers are just greedy.

@Suzierizzo1 I managed large shoe stores for over 15 years. sadly, not surprised to see this. A regular occurrence in our clearance racks. Drop the shoes on the floor, slip them on, the leave them there, moving on to repeat the process. Sometimes for EVERY size in the department!
“Won’t be made public.” Let that sink in. A report into the allocation of millions of OUR dollars is going to be kept from Albertans. How does this hold anyone accountable/responsible for what has allegedly transpired? Bring on the public inquiry. #ABleg https://t.co/weG1rqhb10
🔥🚨DEVELOPING: Hollywood author Stephen King just uploaded this video reminding his fans to go see his movie The Long Walk in theaters amid his book cancellation for slandering Charlie Kirk.
Morning #yeg. Need your eyes. My uncle's truck was stolen overnight in Newton. Very distinctive appearance. Tire on the roof as pictured. Navy 2007 Ford F350. AB plate KPG022. Had huge Oilers flag on it too, aftermarket bumper & lights. Please call police if you spot it. RT?
@JackieBee_16@starsfanerik Why does the injury have to impact how we feel about the infraction.
Somebody can two hand, are chop somebody over the head, but if the victim isn't injured it should be less of a penalty/suspension than if they are bleeding, concussed, etc?
