People say Manchester City fans are glory hunters, they joined the club cause they are doing well, they will leave after Pep does and so on.
But most of you became fans of other clubs when they were also doing well. Ask many Man U fans when they joined the club, it was during Ferguson era, Chelsea too, Barca, Madrid, most of their fanbase grew when they were growing and these are the memories they tell you of that made them join the team. Why is it now different with Man City?? Man City has created and given these fans memories thatโll last a lifetime, theyโve made them love the game, theyโve allowed them built a community and something they can look forward to yet somehow itโs โplasticโ??
Manchester City Football Club is the love of my life.
A marriage that will last till death do us part. Through the gutter, through the glory, I'll be right there.
I'll defend this club. Applaud it. Show up for it. No matter what.
Win, lose, or draw, my love for you is eternal.
And I know I'm not alone. We're a community. A family. Bound by something deeper than trophies. We've bled together, celebrated together, believed together when no one else did.
This club isn't just what we watch, it's who we are.
Till the very end. ๐ฉต
I think, looking back, we asked too much of this team this season.
Honestly, I just want to applaud them for the fight, for the resilience, for somehow staying in contention despite everything working against us at times.
A new coaching staff learning on the job.
A squad full of new faces trying to find chemistry in real time.
A whole new identity being built while the season was already running.
And yet, here we are. Still in the conversation for some major trophies. Still fighting toward the finish line.
That alone deserves respect.
Of course, changes are coming. I can see a few players moving on, some who've given everything, others who never quite settled. But that's the cycle. That's how you evolve.
Next season, with more time, more cohesion, more understanding of what this group can become? It's going to be fun. Really fun.
We're not there yet. But we're closer than it feels.
Manchester City vs Liverpool FC at the Etihad Stadium. Thatโs the FA Cup quarter final draw.
Arsenal fans will still tell you City always get the easy draws.
1) Weโve played Newcastle United five times this season and knocked them out of two domestic cups.
2) Weโve got Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
3) And now weโve drawn Liverpool in the FA Cup.
We keep getting these heavyweight fixtures because weโre one of the very few teams left (alongside Liverpool) that actually deliver proper entertainment. End-to-end football. No corner routines/no set-piece gimmicks. Just the game played as it should be.
These draws come because facing the biggest sides is a privilege and a powerful source of motivation for this group.
Beat Liverpool. Win the FA Cup. Simple as that.
