@teamuveye just published a graph containing tire data from over 100K vehicles…

The result?

Reality — EVs consistently received more tire tread depth alerts than ICE cars, especially as the vehicles aged.

But before we jump to conclusions… 2 key takeaways:

1. Tires are one part of total vehicle ownership costs where EVs underperform. That said, important to show both sides and note that EVs outperform ICE vehicles in other aspects of ownership.

2. There is a huge (and growing) opportunity for dealers and independent repair shops to expand their business through tire sales.
