@UConnFanDotCom @walkrightier As a NESCAC fan, the key is SOS. Conn College missed the tournament cut due to a weaker 10-5 out-of-conference record and SOS. Tufts, however, went 14-2 with a strong SOS. Before the Nescac tournament, I thought Conn would have to win it all to dance in March. LMK what you think.
Trinity’s run this year has been jaw dropping. I’m excited to see if they can hold off Williams tonight.
Williams likely needs the win to help their chances at a bid to NCAAs, and Trinity wants to solidify their historic year.

Recruits, does a school on your list have a JV team?
If so, you should 100% ask the coach where they see you fitting in.
Something like… “Am I a varsity player as a freshman? Or will I have to spend time on the JV team before moving up?”
Bottom line: Be direct
I think Hope will have a hard time defending YU's offense. If the Macs knock down open shots they can win this one.
6-9 junior Gabe Quillan (12.3 ppg, .553 FG) is going to be a very tough matchup for YU in the low post. I'm not sure the Macs have any answer there.

@IWUhoopscom I’d give it a no call. Refs emphasis this year is minimizing charge calls and trying to stop people from falling in these scenarios. I’m not saying a charge is the “wrong” call… but knowing that the emphasis on refs are to eliminate this call, I’d give it a no call.

@RyanAlanScott If I remember correctly, Amherst’s offensive rating was last (or close to it - I really can’t remember the specific number) in all of #d3hoops. It’s a crazy time in d3 hoops, who would have thought we would be watching Amherst’s season unfold as it did last year and this year.
@IWUhoopscom You’ve said it before… but I think teams scheduling harder games and getting their SOS up is better for #d3hoops in every way.
It draws in more fans and makes games more entertaining.
I think Tufts and Keene are both teams that we could easily see playing in the Elite 8. And with the season Widener has had thus far, I’m expecting them to host some tournament games come March.
Interesting turn of events today in #d3hoops
In 2021-2022 early tournament games:
Tufts beats Widener in round of 64, but loses to Keene State in round of 32. Keene would go on to lose to Swarthmore in sweet 16.
Today:
Tufts beats Keene State and Widener beats Swarthmore.

Final from Purchase, NY:
Manhattanville 67
Yeshiva 64
Zevi 21 pts
Max 18 pts, 6 reb
Roy 10 pts, 9 reb
Dothan 8 pts, 6 reb, 5 assists
Devastating loss. After coming back from being down 19 to take the lead late, couldn't execute in final minute.

#12 Tufts: 86
Saint Joseph (Conn.): 77
Great game all around. Mitchell (USJ) had 28 but Tufts saw 5 players score double figures.
Tufts had 16 OREB and that looked like the difference maker. Excited to see them play Keene State on Saturday.
