@MarceloFrizzera@ASALifeline This is a sealed nasal mask that can pressurize with lower flow rates. The anesthesia machine (or mapleson circuit) is good because it has expiratory limb or pressure-relief valve. Should not be used with BiPAP machine without expiratory limb. Risk: overpressurization and injury.

FPS is important in RSI because your goal is to minimize the interval between loss of airway protective airway reflexes and placement of a cuffed ETT in the trachea
FPS is not as important in awake intubation because your goal here is to avoid a catastrophic oxygenation failure
Complete lack of an ETCO2 waveform is always a sign of incorrect intubation, even in patients in cardiac arrest. Pull the tube and re-intubate. With CPR there is always a capnogram, it's just markedly attenuated. Never fall into this trap.
