Today had a meeting with Corps Africa Global and Country Team on an empowerment collaboration of Youth at the community level. We also discussed partnership in their upcoming Youth Convention bringing over 800 African youth to Nairobi. We requested that they consider Nairobi in the relocation of their HQ from Washington. Great to see former CAS Nadia making all these happen. @moyasa_ke @kipmurkomen

Earlier as a follow-up, we met with the Africa's Campus Battle Team led by Lamech Angila to discuss the Talent Search Program within the universities across the country next year. The Ministry officiated the 2024 Edition a few weeks ago.@moyasa_ke #TalentCampusEditions @kipmurkomen

HAPPY MOMENT! In March this year while representing CS @AbabuNamwamba I met Hannah Wanjiru the youth mentor in Ngong-Kajiado in a youth led environmental program and she narrated to me her liberation story in the forest and her passion for youth to change their communities. I proposed her name to be feted as a National Heroine through her local community. Today she has been feted congratulations #ShoshowaYouth #MashujaaWetu #Mashujaa @kipmurkomen

Today we had a great partnership meeting with The Association of Kenya Community Media Operators (AKCMO) on how to tap into their over 60 Community Radio Stations with over 20 Million audience that are majority youth. The gala finals of the Africa Campus Battle Sn 6 was great motivation of what young African talent has to show. I represented The Chief Guest CS @kipmurkomen to award the winner and committed to soon explore a partnership with ACB to rolling out a talent search flagship in the Universities. I was accompanied by the Zambian High Commissioner H.E. Amb. Alfred Musema and the event partners. @moyasa_ke @SDY_Ke

We have had a successful Green Walk and Tree Vigil in Nairobi CBD with culmination of Tree planting at @uonbi with Wazalendo Movement Africa , Youth ,Nairobi City County &other youth networks. A great #MazingiraDay2024 led by the young people. Road to 15B Trees in 2032!

Today we sat the with the youth led Wazalendo Movement Africa where they shared their upcoming green Walk and tree vigil. With over 6,000 members they are pushing Green flagship initiatives like the model farms for Mama Lucy and Mbagathi. 1/ In Beijing together with UNFPA Kenya and UNFPA China ,we are engaging institutions/partners that are keen and ready to set up Centers of Excellence to support & boost Empowerment of Youth on Skills for employment among other areas. Earlier I represented CS @kipmurkomen at the @ICGLRyouth meeting bring the 12 Member State Youth Leaders at the dialogue on Youth Action on Protracted Conflicts in the Great Lakes Region, Kenya assured its support in making the Secretariat more effective as envisioned. I also met Neema Sheikh who has just won the Vice Chairperson Position at the @ComSecYouth on behalf of Kenya.@ACCORD_online @Firstlady_Nimo @Jacobeyeru

The youth driven Charge 24 was just an idea when we met early this year in my office ,today they have 20 young employees and even seeking to pursue local production of power banks dispensed on advertising screens.
