It means so much to Barack and me to open up the Obama Presidential Center on the South Side of Chicago. This is where I grew up, where Barack got his start, and where we raised our girls. So having a place where kids from our community can see themselves, connect with each other, and channel their hope—there’s nothing more powerful than that.
NEWS: President Obama and his family spent the day serving Thanksgiving meals at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, showing up for veterans in a way this country talks about but rarely delivers.
No performative “support the troops” merch drops.
Just a former president and his family doing the work, face-to-face with the people who carried this country on their backs.
We will not allow the sacrifices, efforts, and hope of Kamala Harris' campaign to be erased in this darkness. Add your name to say thank you and commit to keep fighting. https://t.co/DTvSIs2Cws
🚨 This is big.
Our campaign just received the joint endorsement of the News & Observer, Charlotte Observer, and Herald Sun.
✅ JACKSON:
"willing to think and work across the aisle"
"one of the most bipartisan members of the U.S. House"
"refreshingly thoughtful and accessible"
"a broad appeal among voters"
❌ BISHOP:
“the opposite of what an attorney general should be”
“tried to overturn a free and fair election”
“a long, harsh history of discrimination”
“the author of perhaps the most destructive bill in our state’s history, [HB2]”
“extremist worldview”
It’s amazing how powerful a handful of TV commercials will be for my Attorney General race.
Makes it difficult to inform voters that my opponent:
- voted to overturn the last election
- wrote the disastrous “bathroom bill” that nuked NC’s business climate until it was repealed
- wants to “smash the FBI into a million pieces”
- is deeply opposed to reproductive freedom
- invested in a website that’s used as a safe haven for white supremacists
- has never prosecuted a single case
But - somehow - we’ll find a way to get the word out.
I grew up in a middle-class household. For most of my childhood, we were renters.
My mother saved for well over a decade to buy a home. I was a teenager when the day finally came—and I can still remember how excited she was.
In college, I worked at McDonald’s to earn spending money. Some of the people I worked with were raising families on that paycheck. They worked second or even third jobs to pay rent and buy food.
That only gets harder when the cost of living goes up.
When I am elected President, I will make it a top priority to bring down costs and increase economic security for all Americans.
Starting today, millions of Americans now have their insulin costs capped at $35 a month.
Every Democrat voted for it. Every Republican voted against it.
@carlquintanilla So f*n funny! Walken is so straight with the delivery of the story... Just cracks me up ... as he hands over the watch that has been up multiple ass holes, for years, to the kid. Just cracks me up!!
