@Vero2oo7 Yes, and there's a lovely word for it: it's 'petrichor'.

Apparently, it's from 2 words: 'petros' meaning stone, and 'ichor' for the fluid flowing through the veins of the Gods.

That's hilarious. You'd be better off making a high quality coffee with that water. (Don't use detergent though).

I hope your bed sheets were colour-fast? I washed red ones in hot, and they ended up pink! 🙄

It's true, this 7 minutes give an understanding of the way we think about the world- or, the various ways we COULD think about the world.
He's basically explaining how all matter is held together, or repelled by a variety of physical forces, some of which we barely understand.🤔

Stay as long as your bladder allows, and then retrace your steps back to Keswick via the suspension foot-bridge, and the sheep-fields with the amazing 360 mountain panorama. End up at the Bank Tavern for a pint and a Lamb Pie and gravy or similar. (Other great pubs available).😋

Stay on Otterbield Bay promontory until tea-time, before retracing your steps back to Portinscale. At Hawse End you'll meet hikers returning from CatBells, asking you where the boat is. Point to the water. Return to 'The Chalet' for afternoon tea. Grab a table out front again.
