@godsavethepoint I'd go back in a heart beat & we were just at the top of caldera so didn't have as good a view as everyone else (was only 100 quid a night though for nearly same view hotel in front at 600+) but as we were on a less than 2k budget for a 3 weeks trip for 2 it made it possible 😉

@godsavethepoint You've made the right choice imo both in going to the island and where you are staying. We decided to stay in that "town" when we went and the views were spectacular all round Inc Sunset OVER Oia. Honestly when we went to Oia we were like eh what's the fuss all about 🤷‍♂️😂

@OwenRogers @dank615 @brianmoore666 Would recommend keeping an eye on the Special Wines that Lidl get in for their "Wine List" or what ever they call it. All picked & rated by some wine experts. You can find some absolute gems of obscure grapes you usually only get in specialist shops/wine clubs

@OwenRogers @dank615 @brianmoore666 Yes, Aldi or Lidl (or both?) do a nice one at a decent price if memory serves me right. New Zealand has some crackin ones as well actually when talking New world.
Although I still prefer the German and Austrian ones the most.
