@elonmusk That's great Elon, but how do you check the code for errors? Forgive my ignorance, however it seems like there has to be a way to check it rather than just seeing if it works.
@NightSkyNow Interesting, but I don't buy it. It's like the tree falling in the forest story.
Just because you're not looking at something doesn't mean some other organism isn't, and that would posit that human perception alone synthesizes the universe.
@multiplanet1 Yup. It helps to be able to withstand frustration and be willing to repeat things that went wrong as well as learn from them rather than simply reject them.
@latestincosmos It wouldn't surprise me. One time a good friend of mine predicted the date when a catastrophic event would happen in our lives, and she was absolutely correct. It was amazing...
@latestincosmos Even if you don't believe that the brain is hooked to the universe (which seems obvious to me), consciousness is a whole body experience IMHO.
@BiankaB12 Huxleys book "Island" is another viewpoint - it's about how an island nation with an almost idyllic existence is eventually overcome by capitalism excess - the people are infected with Sears catalogs and become materialistic.
