The Godhead is true and has appeared 5 times to multiple people since 1820.
The Trinity is a false, idol god and has appeared to zero people since Satan created it in 325.
Remember guys… if you think a child is entitled to birth to a mother and father you are a bigot.
Confused people like John are way too common in the church.
@tvheidihatch More serious than the arson is a worthless reporter rushing in to control the narrative. The guy said he witnessed two people intentionally lighting the hill on fire.
It doesn't take much research to debunk anti-Mormon bigotry. There was always more than one barrier to publishing the complete JST. Yes, copyright was one obstacle, but it wasn't the only one. The other was full access to the original manuscripts, which the Church did not obtain until purchasing them in 2024.
I posted a meme last week asking why the Mormon church does not use the Joseph Smith Translation (JST) of the bible.
If he's a true revelator, why not?
Some people responded: "it's copyrighted, the church isn't allowed to."
That is not true. See below.
So why not use it?
@mihjohnson@DiscipleFidei@ThoughtfulSaint Labeling the massacre and assassination of Joseph and Hyrum Smith in Carthage Jail a "gunfight" lacks all decency. Doing so says a great deal about your supposed Christian identity.
President Kimball explicitly denounced it: "Such, for instance, is the Adam-God theory. We denounce that theory and hope that everyone will be cautioned against this and other kinds of false doctrine."
Notice the language: "we denounce." This is the united voice of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve—the very pattern by which doctrine is authoritatively established in the Church.
@DiscipleFidei@ThoughtfulSaint 150–200 armed men versus four men confined in Carthage Jail with only a couple of small pistols isn't a gunfight. It's a martyrdom. It's your portrayal of these events that is not Christian.
