@andyburnham Labour loves big corporate business, who
pay their taxes overseas while taxing UK farms and family businesses so they cannot invest in long term.
Andy Burnham and the greedy Labour Mayors are delusional comparing Paris, Rome, Barcelona to Derby or Sheffield
EU hotels as well as paying only 10% VAT many of those cities have too many tourists.
We are desperate for them. 95% of visitors to my hotels are British most of them travelling for work, family or wedding.
This is yet an unfair tax on British people and the hospitality industry.
@Rebecca_SPaul Exactly You can’t compare Derby or Liverpool to Paris, Barcelona Rome we already pay 20% VaT they pay 10%. They want less tourists we are desperate for them.
The @Daily_Express have their Leader and big article on the Tourism Tax along with my comment piece on it. They have a consistent track record of campaigning for the UK tourism sector- well done @ExpressGilo
@Conservatives It’s not just tourists anyone staying for work essential travel. Why should hospitality have to pick up the tab if they need more money?
Take it from every type of business not just hospitality by increasing corporation tax or VAT it’s just not fair on us again!
If the government is so desperate to raise cash rather than tax one sector of business, tax all businesses by increasing corporation tax or VAT at lease that’s more fair.
@EmmaLewell@UKHofficial Well done speaking out about this the Mayors will have uncontrolled powers to raise money from hospitality and spend on any projects they want
