I wrote another long, self-indulgent essay about Nissa over on Tumblr. It's very personal, but I enjoyed the process greatly. It would mean a lot to me if you read it:

re: the piece I posted a few days ago. How these two take care of one another after all they’ve gone through together is so heartwarming.
(Also, Chandra’s and Nissa’s breathing exercises is a wonderful callback to one of the best scenes from the first Kaladesh block. Love it)
Look at these AI slop stickers the library I work at had in the craft closet.
I could never in all my years intentionally write something as funny as “this book is about a book.”
•(Justifiable) anger, projection, a thirst for revenge, and a desire to fix everything
or
•Calm, introspection, a thirst for peace, and a desire to create harmony
Maybe I’m crazy, but I feel like there’s a lot of narrative meat to dig into here.
For all I know, the Magic Story writers are already leading us there, but I hope they dig into the idea that the path Chandra and Nissa have taken after March of the Machine and the path Jace and Vraska have taken are mirrors of each other…
Both couples suffered greatly during the Phyrexian arc, both couples grew closer together afterward, and both couples are rethinking their place in the multiverse. The difference is the conclusions they come to. Should one respond with:
I know I'm the Nissa guy, but I've been a big Chandra guy for just as long.
This set really reminds me why. She's so cool: heroic to fault, unpredictable, and obsessed with her girlfriend...
Such a great protagonist for Magic Story.
Just a reminder to any remaining gruulfriends deniers, Chandra has been having gay thoughts about Nissa's hands and eyes since 2016.

* 2nd is from today
as a gruufriends warrior since the days of "oath of the gatewatch," i could write an entire book on this opening passage. i would right now except i'm at work. later today maybe.
either way, thanks, @ArsenaultRivera. what a special story this is turning out to be.
also, wotc never will follow through with it because most planeswalkers wear the same clothes every day for their entire lives, but there's no limit of unholy things i would do for official card art featuring nissa in a sweater.
